Lowell Elementary History Project
A deep-dive into the history of the first and oldest school in Tacoma, Lowell Elementary School. I spent many days going through the local newspaper archives looking for any mention of the school, compiling an extensive and lengthy timeline of the school’s history. I also used resources such as the Tacoma Public Library’s digital archive, the Library of Congress, and the Washington State Historical Society in my research.
